Some of you will probably already know that I was very lucky to attend (for the second time) the London IMATS a.k.a International Makeup Artist Trade Show. As in previous it was held in
Alexandra Palace in London, a huge and beautiful venue, but a little bit too far from the main London attractions.
I went there with my best friend and awesome makeup artist Kasia (who creates absolutely beautiful looks on
her YouTube channel), spent bit more money that I expected, met the famous
Pixiwoo sisters and attended very inspirational workshops.

Here are just some of the photos taken during both days (Saturday and Sunday):
Hakuhodo galore…

Those tiny Kabuki brushes were as soft as cotton wool balls!

On my shopping list was the tapered Yachiyo brush from the heritage line. After comparing it to other brushes from the standard line I decided it wasn’t as soft as them but still more expensive! In the next post I will show you all my Hakuhodo purchases…:)

With Kasia at the
Terry Barber workshop. It was very much about contouring and his approach to makeup is truly fascinating. Lets just say he’s not the biggest fan of the Kardashian look ;)

A sneak peek at what I got from NYX!

Yay, a MAKE UP FOREVER stand, finally (and very well stocked) it was great to see their whole range in real life. Last year it was only available at the
Guru Makeup Emporium stand. Of course I couldn’t resist to get a few little things…
Lan Nguyen workshop was truly inspiring and breathtaking. She’s amazingly professional and the speed in which she applied makeup was jaw dropping.

And check out the clothes! I love how fashion, models and make up match perfectly. Definitely one of the best workshops!

Pixiwoo sisters! Having missed last years Guru Summit I obviously had to attend this years Q&A with Sam and Nic. They are absolutely gorgeous and replied patiently to all our questions, many them being huge help for aspiring make up artists.
Valente Frazier was one of the keynote speakers. Iman, Tyra Banks, Rihanna, Ciara and Beyonce are among his clients so we couldn’t miss the opportunity to see him in action. During the workshop he was answering our questions (mine also yay!) and some of them were NOT very much makeup related (“where are you staying?”, “can I be your assistant?”). That was one of the most amusing workshops I’ve attended, ever.

The end of IMATS. Broke but happy :)
The London weather and my flats did not agree with each other haha.

It was an amazing experience and I cannot wait to repeat it next year! My dream is to go to the LA/Pasadena IMATS as this is the biggest one in the industry so more makeup and better discounts!
Hope you enjoyed it and keep checking back to see what I’ve got during both days at the MATS London!
